Therapeutic Yoga for different bodies and different minds
Classes
Friday Morning Class
A gentle, welcoming yoga class for complete beginners and anyone who feels traditional yoga isn't for them. No flexibility, fitness or experience is needed - just simple movement, breathing and relaxation, with choices for every body and mind. Even if yoga feels physically difficult, you can still reap the benefits of slowing down and stilling the mind. Neurodiverse people and all abilities are warmly welcomed - yoga without judgement, competition or pressure to get it "right".
Regulate and Restore
I also offer one-off workshops exploring specific areas of wellbeing, including lower back pain, menopause, burnout and improving sleep. These gentle, accessible sessions combine adapted yoga, movement, breathing and relaxation techniques, giving you practical tools to support your body and mind in everyday life. No previous yoga experience is needed, and all abilities are welcome.
Workshops
A series of occasional, inclusive workshops for autistic and neurodivergent people. Using gentle, adaptable movement, yoga, breathing and relaxation, each workshop is designed to support self-regulation, sensory differences and anxiety. There is no expectation to move or participate in a particular way — you are encouraged to explore what feels comfortable and supportive for you in a welcoming, low-pressure environment.
About
I discovered yoga in 1996 and quickly began to experience its many benefits. What started as a personal practice soon became something that supported me through different stages of life, and yoga has remained an important part of my life ever since.
In 2018, I completed my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training and began sharing my love of yoga with others. Alongside my yoga practice, I have spent 26 years working in education and currently work as an Advisory Teacher, supporting autistic pupils in schools. This experience has shaped my understanding of the importance of creating inclusive, adaptable spaces where people are not expected to fit into one particular way of learning, moving or being.
I am currently training to become an IAYT Yoga Therapist, deepening my understanding of how yoga can be adapted to support individual needs and wellbeing.
My journey towards yoga therapy became particularly personal when I was diagnosed with epilepsy at the age of 49. During this time, yoga became an invaluable source of support and has helped me navigate life's challenges. Experiencing the benefits of yoga first-hand strengthened my desire to share this practice with others.
For me, yoga is not about being flexible, achieving the perfect pose or fitting into a particular image of what a “yoga person” should look like. It is about finding practices that work for you.
Yoga can support many aspects of wellbeing, including reducing stress and anxiety, improving sleep, developing clarity and focus, supporting motor planning and body awareness, building flexibility and strength, and developing a greater awareness of the breath.
My aim is to make yoga accessible to people who may have felt that yoga was not for them. Whether you are a complete beginner, neurodivergent, returning to movement after a break, or simply looking for a gentler and more adaptable approach, you are welcome here.
Come as you are. There is no need to be flexible, experienced or “good at yoga” — just a willingness to explore what works for you.
