Yoga doesn’t ask you to be flexible.
It doesn’t ask you to be calm.
It certainly doesn’t ask you to look good in leggings.
It simply asks you to arrive as you are.
Yoga can be:
• Sitting in a chair and noticing your breath
• Moving slowly because that’s what your body needs today
• Resting on the floor with a blanket
• Choosing stillness instead of movement
• Finding a little more space, ease and connection
LESS PERFORMANCE. MORE NOTICING.
Yoga isn’t about achieving the perfect pose.
It’s about exploring what movement, breath and stillness feel like in your body.
There is no single “right” way to practise.
A pose may be strong, supported, adapted or completely different. Every choice is valid.
Instead of asking:
“Does my pose look right?”
Try asking:
“What am I noticing?”
YOGA SHOULD MEET THE PERSON
Yoga is for:
• Older and younger bodies
• Stiff and flexible bodies
• Disabled and larger bodies
• Neurodivergent, anxious and busy minds
• People who use chairs, walls, cushions or props
• People who cannot get onto the floor
• Anyone who has ever thought, “Yoga isn’t for someone like me.”
It is.
Choice is part of the practice.
You don’t have to arrive feeling peaceful. You can arrive stressed, distracted, tired, restless or full of energy.
You don’t have to force calm.
You can simply breathe, move, pause and notice.
Yoga isn’t about fixing yourself.
It’s about being present with yourself, exactly as you are.
